Excessive sweating affects millions of people — yet it's one of the most undertreated conditions in medicine. Many patients spend years assuming nothing can be done. There is another path forward.
Treatment Options
We believe non-surgical options should be tried before surgery. Our multidisciplinary team works with each patient to find the right approach.
The most effective treatment for severe palmar hyperhidrosis and facial blushing. Minimally invasive, outpatient — most patients go home the same day.
FDA-approved non-invasive treatment for underarm hyperhidrosis. Delivers controlled energy to eliminate sweat glands with minimal downtime.
Botox for underarms, hands, and feet blocks the nerve signals that trigger excessive sweating. Results typically last 4–6 months.
A non-invasive treatment using mild electrical currents passed through water to reduce sweating of the hands and feet. An excellent first-line option.
Dr. Lyall Gorenstein is the Director of the Center for Hyperhidrosis and Director of Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center. He has dedicated his career to the diagnosis and treatment of hyperhidrosis — and has performed more ETS procedures than any other surgeon in the tristate area.
Dr. Gorenstein developed and pioneered the ETS-T3 technique, which produces excellent results while minimizing the risk of compensatory sweating. He was also one of the first surgeons in the New York metro area to offer miraDry for patients with underarm hyperhidrosis.
Alongside Dr. Gorenstein, Professor of Clinical Dermatology Dr. Marc Grossman directs all non-surgical approaches — ensuring every patient has access to the full spectrum of treatment.
